Brian Talley is a member of the third generation to work in his family’s farming operation, which was founded in the Arroyo Grande Valley in 1948 by Oliver Talley. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with degrees in History and Political Economy of Natural Resources. After college, Brian worked in the family’s vegetable farming business, Talley Farms, before he became General Manager of Talley Vineyards, the family’s wine business, in 1991. He now serves as president of Talley Farms and Talley Vineyards, both of which are based in Arroyo Grande. Talley Farms is a grower, packer and shipper of fresh vegetables which includes farming operations in the Edna and Arroyo Grande Valleys and a vineyard in Paso Robles. Talley Vineyards produces estate bottled wines under the Talley Vineyards label and wine from purchased grapes under the Bishop’s Peak label. Brian lives in Arroyo Grande with his wife, Johnine, and daughters, Elizabeth and Olivia.
